2008 Western Regional Ash Grove Mo.Hi All
I wanted to invite everyone to the Western Regional & Missouri State Hunt. Oct 11-12.
I have heard of many planning to attend, I believe it will be a big turnout.
Our clubhouse is located in the Ash Grove City Park at the corner of Staeger Ave and E Pkwy St in Ash Grove Mo. We will use this facility as the clubhouse. We will gather here to organize casts and have meals. You are welcome to sleep here and the Pool house showers should be open.
Everyone behave, the police chief lives next door
Sorry we do not have kennels at the clubhouse we will have to keep dogs in the box or your trailer.
We will use the Bois D Arc Conservation area to hunt on. Its about 4- 5 miles away. We can stake dogs there during the day. I will have a roll cage and a couple of rabbits for the younger dogs. There is primitave camping available there with a port-a-potty. Rich is sleeping there at night if you want to leave your trailer there.
We have about 1500 acres of the 3000 acres facility to use. There is a AKC beagle trial on the south end but we shouldn't even see them.
Nearest hotels will be in the north end of Springfield 12-15 miles away depending on the hotel you choose. It is an inter-state so there are many hotels there.
Please call or email me if I can help you.

I will be there too, Eric. I will have Annie (Grand Champion) and my "youngster" Copper.
What time should I plan to arrive on Friday?
Glad your coming, we should have the building open friday afternoon.
hey Eric, is hunter orange required in your area yet? I'm not sure how your hunting seasons run
It would be a good idea to bring it, we are on public land.
Rabbit, Fall Turkey, and Archery Deer are in season.
Good question!
Jim ask about this hotel I have never been there but here's what I know.
Hoods Motel is being advertised by a beagle club in their hunt ad as a dog friendly hotel. It's off I-44 exit 61 on HWY K about 8 miles south of the clubhouse according to Seth.
I called them for prices. A single is $34.95 a double is $46.60 Dog $5.85 with $30 deposit on a credit card. They said they never sell out. The phone number is 417-732-6035.
Eric
being that they never sell out might not be good :D hahaha. it could be another lincolin lodge right wade :D . hahaha some might not know that story. just ask wade about his stay there. its a good one.
Ya that had me a little concerned as well! Understand I have never laid eyes on it and I'm NOT recommending it at this point. I will try to get over there tomorrow and take a look. The price is right.
well in that case let me be the first to recommend this fine establishment to my dear friends Chris, and Kevin, hope it meets all of my expectations
....
Are any of you PA guys going to this hunt? I may need a dog brought back this way (WV) if at all possible.
I know I am not going and I dont think Dean is going. You could try Ben and Sam from NY
I have read the MO hunting regs and it looks like you need a small game hunting license to pursue (without taking) game animals with dogs on public land. Is this correct?
Yes that is correct but you won't need one to attend the trial. Our field trial permit covers you.
Thanks! I thought I read that right, but did not know that the trial permit was my cover for this weekend!
