advice in breeding
I have a female in heat right now that I am wanting to breed to my male. She is standing for him and moving her tail out of the way. He will mount her and get the "motion" going. However, after a short time he just quits or falls off without penetration. I have experience breeding other breeds (mostly beagles). I havent dealt with the bassets. They seem to have agility issues when it comes to this. When I try to help him but when I get close to them he forgets about her and wants to play with me. Has any one else experienced this or is my male just a little "slow"? Any advice would be great.
