AHBA NORTHERN REGIONAL
The Northern Regional will be hosted by the Southwest Michigan Basset Club on November 1st at the home of Rod Place and Barb Farris, 29566 60th Ave, Lawton, Mich, 49065. Sunday, November 2 there will be a club hunt at this same location. The hunt deadline both days is 7:00 am. The entry fee is $15 per hound in the field and $5.00 per hound on the bench. Enter 4 hounds in the field and the rest of your kennel is free. The entry fee for the hunt on Sunday is $10.00 per entry. NO bench show on Sunday. Gas in our area is running from $2.79 to $2.56 per gallon and like other areas of the country this price is subject to change at any minute of any day. Our basement "lounge" is open to all for rest and relaxation and sleeping. Bring your cot. Motels in Paw Paw (about 3 miles from our house):Ecno Lodge 269-657-2578: Super 8, 269-657-1111: Quality Inn, 269-655-0303 Direction coming from the west on I 94: Exit 60, go south (M 40) about 3 miles to CR 62, east on CR 62 about 1 1/2 miles to 30th Street. North on 30th about 1/2 mile and take the 90 degree turn to the east. You are now on 60th Ave: 3rd house on the north side of the road. Watch for AHBA signs. Coming from the east on I 94 get off at exit 66 and go south through the town of Mattawan and continue on south about 1/2 mile to Robinson and turn west. As you travel west this street becomes 60th Ave. Go through 2 stop signs. From the second stop sign our house is 9/10 of a mile. Watch for AHBA signs. If you get lost call 269-624-6557. Dean - if you are bringing a motor home watch for the low bridge at the railroad bridge you have to go under. Come early if you wish and run some bassets in my training pen.
