Cold Weather
Hey - It has been really cold here the last few days - highs in the teens. I have been taking the dogs hunting - we even 'got one' on Saturday! I was wondering if any of you use booties for your dogs for cold weather, and at what temperature or other conditons do you use them? Neither dog has shown any frostbite or other cold related problems so far...just curious about what the more experienced among you do for your dogs. Thanks.

I personally have not done anything different for in the field for any conditions. In the truck obviously I make sure they have some insulation in the dog box. Like old carpet and stuff. My truck also has a cap so that keeps them out of the wind when on the road. I don't hink I have ever even seen anyone use dog shoes on a basset.
