Last Run of the Season
Took Barney now 10.5 months old out to some of the jackpine plantations for one last run before quiet time. I managed to get him going on a couple snowshoe hares. I got this pup at 6 weeks old in mid-July 2007. My goal was to get him started on rabbits/hares before today. He has done well. Not only has he started running them, but is giving voice and has circled a cottontail and a few hare. A few pics of Barney straightening scent trails out:
